Pippa's House Nursery
CLAYGATE
Our Children's Nursery in Claygate is commitment to providing a nurturing environment for children, this is reflected in the thoughtful design and arrangement of our different age-specific rooms. Pippa’s House, Claygate exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, situated conveniently just a short 5-minute walk from Claygate train station, in front of the Torrington car park.
All the staff are amazing - so caring and friendly. Two of the ladies are so lovely and my grandchild loves being with them especially. The nursery offers a wonderful family caring safe environment which is so reassuring. Fantastic learning activities with a great outdoor space. - 18th July 2024
Our two children joined Pippa's House Claygate (in the under 2's and Pre-school rooms) following a house move in January this year and we couldn't have been happier on how they have both settled. The staff are all so caring and it is such a welcoming environment, there is always a friendly face at drop off. There is also great consistency in the team (which is not always the case from our experience of nursery settings). They put a lot of thought into activities and our eldest enjoys the extracurricular sports and our youngest Hartbeeps. Our son leaves for school in September and we feel they have supported him well in preparing for this transition. We always get a very thorough handover at the end of each day both in person and also through the app. They are flexible, and kind and keep the kids stimulated and active throughout the day. - 9th July 2024
The staff truly make a setting and the staff at Pippa’s are so kind, caring and very importantly... fun! We have two children at Pippa’s House and both absolutely love their days at nursery; full of fun, creative activities and all in a caring, nurturing environment. The staff here have often gone above and beyond for us. We couldn’t ask for more. - 23rd May 2024
At our nursery, we are dedicated to offering more than just a stimulating learning environment; we prioritise a holistic approach to well-being. Our on-site kitchen, managed by a dedicated chef, ensures that children enjoy homemade cooked meals sourced from local suppliers. We cater to various dietary requirements, ensuring that every child receives nutritious and delicious meals.
Our Settling Babies
The Baby Room, catering to ages 3-18 months, focuses on creating a calming environment to build relationships. Sensory toys, a cosy reading corner, and musical instruments enhance the sensory experiences of the little ones. For those who need more than one nap a day, a secluded corner with comfy cots and a white noise machine ensures a peaceful sleep. Sensory and messy play activities abound, with easy access to free flow into the garden throughout the year, allowing the children to explore and practice walking in a spacious, well-lit environment.
Our Curious Toddlers
The Little Boppers' room, designed for ages 18 months to 2 years, is a hub of excitement and stimulation. Here, children engage with a variety of toys, exploring the environment and fostering imagination. Sensory and messy activities contribute to fine motor skill development, while group games teach turn-taking and sharing. The room seamlessly connects to the garden for free flow and extended play opportunities.
Our Independent Preschoolers
Big Boppers and Preschoolers, aged 2 years and above, share an integrated learning space. This arrangement encourages mutual support and learning among the children. Big Boppers focus on turn-taking, sharing, and beginning to identify marks and simple sentences. The room offers a range of activities, from messy play to arts and crafts, supporting diverse learning experiences.
Preschoolers, aged 3 and above, are engaged in building a robust vocabulary, forming letters, and recognising letters in familiar words or their names. Independence is encouraged, with free choices during activities and self-serving at mealtimes. Activities also expand their knowledge of the world, fostering curiosity and encouraging them to ask questions.
Throughout the week, extra-curricular activities enhance the children's experiences. The under-2s enjoy sensory music and movement sessions, while those aged 18 months and above can participate in Monday sports, offering a variety of ball games and skills. These activities not only contribute to physical development but also provide an enriching and enjoyable addition to the weekly routine. Claygate Pippa's is not just a nursery; it's a dynamic and supportive environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and thrive.
